Description: It is quite natural when looking at pictures, to rationalise what we think we see in terms ot what we already know, to react to the familier, that which is already embodied within the language and its representations. It is also quite natural, when confronted by something which is unfamilier or that we don't understand, to ask 'What does this mean?' and try to place it within the language we understand and are familier with. Often, if we don't find an immediate answer, we just dismiss things as foreign and, consequently of no value; something we have no interest in dealing with.
